In 1994, the production of Silver Eagles experienced a decline that brought the mintage to the lowest level for the series at the time. The total production of just 4,227,319 coins remains the second lowest bullion mintage for the overall series. This coin is sought after by investors and collectors who are trying to complete MS70 sets. The 1994 Silver Eagle is the 9th issue of the series. It, as most 1990's eagles do, often comes spotty and is elusive in perfect 70. Only 390 have achieved the perfect MS70 by NGC.
