Then you need to add the 1987 series of Gold Eagles to your portfolio. 1992 marked the first year where the US Mint started using the Arabic numerals instead of the Roman numerals for the previous designs. Coins that have achieved the PF69 grade have a sharp strike and full original luster, with no more than two small non-detracting contact marks or flaws. Also, no hairlines or scuff marks can be seen on coins with this grade, and they have exceptional eye appeal. The US Mint produced a record low for the time of just over 44,000 one-ounce Gold Eagles and just over 1,500 have been graded a perfect Proof 69 by NGC. This is a beautifully struck piece that is perfectly preserved. It features a deep mirror finish that is highly lustrous and will make an excellent addition to any collection.
